Story
Almost 8 years since we founded Fitted for Work - and look what it's achieved in bringing positive changes to women’s lives. To celebrate these achievements, and those of other female duos, Marion and Renata are dressing up for this year’s Dare to Wear Day!
And now you can see what we might look like, of course we'll have wigs and may need to lose many kilos in a week. So donate and vote now.

Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cody Stanton: founders and pioneers of the women’s suffrage movement in the USA. Yes
,we can, be crinolined to the nines and worthy. - Lucy Ricardo and Ethel Mertz: funny, funnier and funniest. There were a few bad moments in our Fitted for Work life when we could have quoted Ethel’s, If I had known this was what friends were for, I'd of signed on as an enemy.
- Thelma and Louise: If you don’t know who they are, rent the DVD immediately. Imagine us in early 90s clothing and check out this quote for aptness. Louise, no matter what happens, I'm glad I came with you.
- Or the Aussie option, Kath and Kim, paragons of high fashion and good taste and many great belly laughs
We double dare you up come up with other dynamite duos, and to donate. If we raise more than $5000.00, we’ll add some acting to the dressing up. Talk about brave or foolish…

Fitted for Work
Transform the lives of women experiencing disadvantage!
Fitted for Work is an innovative not-for-profit organisation and the first of its kind in Australia. Our vision is financial independence for women and our mission is to help women experiencing disadvantage get work and keep it. Since 2005 we have assisted over 12,000 courageous women step out of disadvantage and into work through our personal outfitting, transition to work and mentoring programs. Our services are practical and effective. Today 75% of the women we help get work within 3 months. We have sites in Melbourne, Morwell and Sydney. Women are referred to us by over 300 community partners. The women we assist face a variety of obstacles – they may be exiting a domestic violence situation, experiencing homelessness, temporarily experiencing ill-health that prevents them from working, have a disability or have become recently widowed or divorced. Many are single mothers who need to support themselves and their family. Every day our dedicated team of 14 staff and over 250 volunteers help women gain the self-esteem and confidence to achieve their goal of sustainable employment.,
